The rules are simple. Standard Jeopardy rules apply.
For those that don’t know Jeopardy rules, here’s a quick rundown:
You pick a category and the dollar amount. Based on the dollar amount is the basis for the answer’s toughness. Higher dollars obviously have harder answers.
If you get it right, you get that dollar amount. If you get it wrong, you lose that much. And yes, you CAN go into negatives.
Oh yeah, and you must answer with a question of course.
Easy peasy, right?
I’ll be your host. I have written up a complete set of answers and am ready to start.
Now, online and on this message board, of course things will go a bit different, so here’s the lowdown on how this will be played.
PLEASE READ THESE RULES IF YOU HAVE NEVER PLAYED OR SEEN JEOPARDY.
-Anyone can play that wants to. I’m not just going to limit this to three members. The person who got the last answer right picks again. When someone picks a category and an amount, ANYONE can then answer it if they know it.
-Your answer MUST be in the form of a question. If you do not do this, I’ll ignore your answer and it won’t count.
-The first person with the question gets it. Sorry, but that’s how it has to go on this message board because replies come so fast. So you have to be fast in your replies in this. I will only take the first person who replies with the correct one. But also, I’ll only deduct points from the first with a wrong answer as well.
-The person who gets the question right will be able to choose the next catagory and dollar amount.

-Lastly…I’m no Trebeck. I may make mistakes. I may have some things wrong…but for the most part, I don’t think I have in any of these. If anyone finds something to be misinformed, just point it out and I’ll apoligize and make the corrections needed. This is for things like: Alternate answers, mistakes in keeping score, or anything else really that would be amiss. But in holding this topic on 2 other boards I’ve been on before, I find for the most part it goes pretty smoothly and is a lot of fun.
Again, just like you need to be fast on the buzzer on real Jeopardy, you must be fast here.
