If you do a search, no doubt you’d find the first two installments of this.
I was bored so I made up another one.
The rules are simple. Standard Jeopardy rules apply.
For those that don’t know Jeopardy rules, here’s a quick rundown. Please read them so you understand how to play:
You pick a category and the dollar amount. Based on the dollar amout is the basis for the answer’s toughness. Higher dollars obviously have tougher answers.
If you get it right, you get that dollar amount. If you get it wrong, you lose that much. And yes, you CAN go into negatives.
Oh yeah, and you must answer with a question of course.
Easy peasy, right?
Now, online and on this message board, of course things will go a bit different, so here’s the lowdown on how this will be played:
-Anyone can play that wants to. When someone picks a category and an amount, ANYONE can then answer it if they know it.
-Your answer MUST be in the form of a question. If you do not do this, I’ll ignore your answer and it won’t count. Example: If the answer is "This has whiskers, purrs and goes “meow”, your reply would be “What is a cat?”
-The first person with the question gets it. Sorry, but that’s how it has to go on this message board because replies come so fast. So you have to be fast in your replies in this. I will only take the first person who replies with the correct one. I usually just stay in this topic and keep refreshing it and suggest you do the same if you want to be first with an answer.
-The person who gets the question right will be able to choose the next catagory and dollar amount.
-If you answer wrong but someone else already answered it wrong before you, points will NOT be taken off you, however you may not answer or guess again.
-If you don’t know the answer for sure, guessing is fine however guess at your own risk.
- This is only the first round. Regular Jeopardy. Double Jeopardy will follow.
- I made up the questions BEFOREHAND. Not making them up as I go along. I grouped them in each category from what I thought was the easiest to the hardest depending on the dollar amount.
So, let’s get started, shall we? The categories for the first round are:
Scavenger Hunt 100 | 200 | 300 | 400 | 500 |
X is to Y 100 | 200 | 300 | 400 | 500 |
Name’s The Same 100 | 200 | 300 | 400 | 500 |

*For the category Scavenger Hunt, I’ll give you a topic title requirement, and you must find a topic that fits it and link to it in your answer.
For the category Name’s the Same, I’ll give you two member’s usernames with the commontaily they share taken out. You must give me the word or words that appear in both names.
For the category Signing Off, I’ll give you the a specific member’s way of signing posts and you tell me who they are*
If nobody answers the current question in 15 minutes, time is up and nobody gets it.
The first person to reply to this thread gets to go first.
