This morning, while Aesiron was walking to work (my house), he was hit by a car. It was dark, and the driver couldn’t see him. He suffered a broken leg, and when I talked to him he was about to be transported to the Salem hospital for orthopedic surgery. Hopefully I’ll be able to talk to him or see him tonight after surgery and post another update.
Fortunately the driver was fully insured so his medical bills and such should be covered. But he’s still feeling pretty bum (who wouldn’t??) so if you have any warm thoughts or well-wishes, I know he’d be glad to hear them.
Holy Crap! How does one not see Aesiron? I’m glad he’s ok (relatively, anyway)!!! For X-Mas, his Secret Santa should get him some glow in the dark wrist bands or something! Or a glowing “Hey, Moron. I’m Walking Here!!!” shirt.

Surgery? Sounds serious. Please let him know I wish him well and we are hoping for his speedy recovery. Tell him I’ll log #straightdope so he wont miss any thing.
What a terrible way to start the day. I hope the surgery goes well, and that Aesiron will be back posting, at least, soon.
