Vibromixers are very effective, but typically have a short service life and require sound insulation. The balanced design of this vibromixer eliminates high bearing loads, resulting in longer service life and substantially quieter operation. The photograph shows a lab-scale prototype.

This new technology uses vibrations to effectively mix viscous substances. The vibromixer is based on a kinematically driven vibrator in such a way that minimum vibration is transferred to the base. In the lab scale prototype, 15-36 g accelerations were transferred to the processed mixture and only 0.5 g was transferred to the base. This device is especially effective for mixing highly viscous substances because viscosity often drops significantly under high level vibrations.
