Boy, Did Firehouse Suck Or What?

Sorry, just got done watching that VH1 Classic “Metal Mania” show while wrapping some Christmas presents.

…but geez, they we’re bad.

Of course, by “we’re”, I mean were. And by “bad”, I mean really, really effing bad.

Hey, man…Mike Watt’s bass playing is brilliant and his…

oh, Firehouse you say…?

Carry on.

I’m pretty sure I’ll regret admitting this, but I actually liked “Love of a Lifetime.”

Don’t know anthing else by them, though.

Bar none, Firehouse is the worst bar in Kalamazoo. It always sucks.

Heh. I misread and peeked in thinking that too.

Me too. I was about to open a Pit thread.

No arguement. Hell, I’ve known this since that shitty single Don’t Treat Me Bad.

At the very end of the video for this song, the singer stares into the camera with this totally unnatural, wide-eyed look on his face and goes “Oooooooooooo-ooooooooooh…” My sister and I thought this was hilarious. To this day we sometimes look at each other and go “Oooooooooooo-ooooooooooh…”

And while we’re at it, Slaughter were pretty ass-crap too, weren’t they?

The band released an album in early 2004, so it would probably be more accurate to say that Firehouse is actively sucking.

Didn’t they actually beat fucking Nirvana for a Grammy?

“Finally found the love of a lifetime…a love to last my whole life thruuuuuuuuuuu”

You know, I had the chance to see them in concert a few years ago, when they were relegated to playing clubs again. They actually put on a good show. Female friend of mine was pulled up on stage to sing along on “Up All Night,” and didn’t know the words.

Exactly. I opened the thread to complain that I’d always see the name Firehouse and think “Oooh…fireHo…oh. …nevermind”.
