Identify this bad late-1970s TV show.

I saw the thread title about WIll Eisner. That reminded me of a name, which I remember as ‘Ike Eisenberg’. I wondered what he’d been up to since the late-1970s, so I checked IMDB. Not there. Apparently I’ve mis-remembered the name.

Anyway, the show was about people who flew a space ship. When they returned to Earth, it was 200 (or 2,000 or whatever) years later. One of the laughable things was that their ship was just a Space Shuttle. I think it had a diagonal red or orange stripe. Of course, they had the typical ‘strangers from a different time’ adventures.

Anyone remember what this show was? (It wasn’t Quark, which I actually found rather funny.)

I think the person you’re thinking of is Ike Eisenmann, but I don’t see anything in his IMDB entry that rings a bell about a space ship series in the late '70s.

It wouldn’t have been Buck Rogers, would it?

Neither do I. I guess some shows are best forgotten.

Quartz: No, it was worse than that.

This is a long shot, but it wouldn’t be Fantastic Journey, would it? I seem to recall an Ike Eisen-something-or-other in that show… it didn’t last very long, I don’t think… I’m pretty sure it was in the 70s.

I think, I think, they got lost in the Bermuda Triangle, though, and each episode had them stuck in a different dimension.

It could have been Fantastic Journey but from the looks of the plot summary, the space ship might have appeared in only one episode.

Hm. I know I saw a show where the Space Shuttle, masquerading as an interstellar craft, crashed on future-Earth.

Salvage I?

Ark II?

“The Far Out Space Nuts”?

I said “LUNCH” not “LAUNCH!”

As I recall, the featured spaceship in that show was something more like the lunar module, not the space shuttle.

Whatever you are remember sounds like a ripoff of Buck Rodgers, if it wasn’t Buck Rodgers. The spaceship in Rodgers was a space shuttle like vehicle.

Ike was in an episode of a show called Voyagers!.

It was from 1982. Could that be it?
