writing a SOP for my MSW

how's about that alphabet soup?

so, i'm starting to write my statement of purpose to apply to grad school for my master's in social work. i've never written one of these so i'm wondering how "personal" i can or should get.

i really want to work with pregnant teens and single parents and since i was one and am currently the other than obviously my life circumstance has had a lot to do with the direction i intend to go on. so how personal does one get in these things?

(if this should be moved elsewhere feel free, sorryz)
