I was watching an old Tom and Jerry cartoon, and Tom took a big bite out of a drumstick he picked up off of a platter. Immediately I thought: “Hmmm. Charred wolf meat, I know how to make that”. I’ve only been playing for 5 days!
You notice that it’s 4 am. What bothers you most is that this means several hours of mindless killing and mining until you have a chance of finding a decent party for those elite quests. (The fact that all German players are from the same time zone makes this especially severe)
I was at the grocery store the other day, and noticed they had frozen squid in the freezer case. I thought to myself “Hmmm… I need frozen squid, don’t I? Wasn’t I going to make something with frozen squid? What recipe was that?”
After a few minutes, I realized it was the Grilled Squid recipe I’d just purchased in WoW, and it was Winter Squid I’d been looking for, not frozen.
I’m going to take a few days off from playing, I think. I guess it’s not all bad - at least I’m no longer trying to mez annoying people.
You think you’ve got it bad? I just sapped one of my coworkers so I could speak to my boss for thirty seconds.

Once I was playing when a friend came over who also plays. She said “Nice shirt.”
“Yeah, thanks I made it myself.”
“You did?”
“Yeah, it’s a lesser adepts robe…oh, wait, you mean my real shirt. I bought it at Eclipse.”
My sister was standing at a bus stop in the city and thought to herself “I should just hearthstone home!” She actually started digging around in her bag for the stone before she realised and was deeply ashamed.
What hours do you play? If you can sneak onto an american server you can get parties at all hours=) I am on elune and am on at some of the darndest times, like 0600-0900 german time=)
