On this page, the timeline for the Schiavo case shows that the malpractice settlement for Schiavo came down in January 1993.
I’ve been trying to track down when Michael Schiavo started dating. This claims to be a deposition from a woman who was dating Schiavo in late 1991, about 1.5 years after Terri’s collapse and before that settlement.
Does anyone know if this information is correct? I don’t really know how to verify that this deposition is accurate, or whether it was disputed in court. I don’t want a debate about the entire Schiavo case–I’m just trying to find out if this is accurate.
Thylacine. This is GQ. The OP didn’t want your opinions. Keep them out of GQ, especially when you’re dealing with a hot-button topic. Don’t do this again.

The forum called General Questions is for questions that have a pretty good chance at a very factual answer. When the Original Post(er)(OP) emarkp asked a question, he/she also said
What we strive for in GQ are cites that are factual(which yours was perhaps NOT–it was from a very biased source–but perhaps you merely Googled and found something that you though added info to the OP).
Rather than start another thread since we have been mod’ed into understanding that this is the “just the facts” forum:
Did the Schindler’s sell the mailing of folks who donated for Terry list to a conservative group?
When did the charge that Michael Shiavo abused Terry first surface? Who made it?
I know this is an emotional issue and that these Q’s are loaded as hell … but they **MUST ** have factual answers. (BTW both questions originated from 1 time off TV reports). I also know that I have highjacked a thread that hasn’t been 100% GQ answered yet, but it feels “safe” to ask these Q’s with the understanding the mods have clearly established.
