Although I generally like my MSR products such as my Alpine Cook set and Whisperlite International 600, the Dromedary is without a doubt the most ill designed piece of crap spewed from MSR. On a recent backpack to the Flat Tops in Colorado, I used my Dromedary for the first time and it leaked at least 500 ml out of 2000 ml due to the flexible ring. Luckily, I had my raingear directly below it and none of my other stuff got wet. When I tried to refill it we wasted at least another 300 ml of iodized and boiled water because we had to put the bag down on a log to take pressure off of the flexible ring so the cap could be screwed back on. Does anybody have a clue in hell what I am talking about?

A clue in hell? Ummmmm, you are apparently unsatisfied with the performance of a piece of camping equipment. Is that close enough? From the context, I gather that this is some sort of water container.

I think I understand. Your camel is leaking.
You should drop a note to Michelle, our resident emergency vet, for advice. |

Yes, the MSR Dromedary is a 2 liter collapsible water container.

What I'm trying to figure out is why you posted this here, let alone at all.

As a moderator, why do you post so much?
