On the other: Why do I always go back and read the threads listed in the banning announcements? It just gets me all riled up and wanting to bitchslap the banned poster in zombie threads.

I can’t see from the links why he was banned. I mean, I see what he posted, I just don’t see the reason for a banning in there.
Can someone summarize milroyj’s posting history? He seemed right wing to me, Roger, what’s the comment about Bush and Iraq for?
roger thornhill, do not use this thread as an opportunity to fight or even discuss your political views; that’s not an appropriate use and may in itself generate a warning. You know better, you do.
Uncommon Sense, if bad behavior is acceptable to you, well, that’s your opinion and you are entitled to it.
When we tell someone over and over again not to behave in a certain manner and they continue to do so, we really don’t have much choice.
As is always my opinion with any long established poster who has contributed to this board- I am sorry this had to happen, and that he had to be banned.
As I explained in the other thread (the Pit) that I have since read some more of his work and the banning seemed more justifiable. I haven’t been keeping score for a while so my score card is different than yours.
I can’t really see much difference between milroyj’s posts and most of the of the posts from some of the folks on the other side of the political coin; just substitute the words “liberal” and “Democrat” (both four-letter words in milroyj’s lexicon) with “conservative” and “Republican” and you’ve pretty much got a whole slew of folks needin’ to be warned, at least, if not banned for committing the same “offenses” that milroyj’s committed.
And, Ex Tank, generally they have been warned, and they cut it out. The ones who do not cut it out, after multiple warnings, are banned.
Do remember, please, that often such offenses only come to our attention when reported by some other member. Mods can’t read every post in every thread, we rely on the membership to report misbehaviors. So, if you see someone behaving in this way, for cryin’ out loud, REPORT IT, don’t whine about how this one got away with it and that one didn’t.
