In the aftermath of Katrina, the hue and cry went up that the Feds (read: President Bush) weren’t doing enough to help the victims, from Mayor Nagin’s semi-hysterical (understandably so, though) S.O.S down to certain democrats and the media laying blame everywhere.
While they may not have gotten to the worst hit areas as fast as anyone would have liked, the military is now providing security, search and rescue, (well, mostly recovery at this point ), and massive logistical services so that food, medicine, and other aid can actually reach the people who need it.
But now, only 10 days after the levees broke and all hell broke loose, this nimrod wants Bush to pull the troops out? What does she, and not incidentally her supporters, WANT for heaven’s sake?
This lady sounds like a lot of fun. Actually, from what I read in the article she sounds a lot like a person who has started to believe the hype about herself and has lost touch with what she was trying to accomplish in the first place. Let’s hope she pulls back before we have a liberal Ann Coulter on our hands.
It appears that this loon has started believing her own press releases. I felt sorry for her at first, because she lost her son in a war* she doesn’t believe in. She now seems to believe she has some special insight into all the nations problems. I think she needs a long rest, to get rid of the jokers who are enabling her to make a fool of herself, and maybe some meds.
*since Congress never declared war, what exactly are we involved in?
I know her beloved son is dead, and her husband is out of the picture. Does anyone know if she has other children, or siblings, or parents, that can get her the help she so desparately needs?
As far as the people that are using her to advance a political advantage, I have no words for them.
She’s not the first person I’ve heard say this. According to a certain kind of thinking, sending troops into New Orleans was an affront, or even an attack, against the victims of the hurricane. The people looting down there were only looking for food and it’s part of an effort to blame the poor for what happened.
