So a friend of mine got one of them pot-bellied pigs. I wanted to show her a trick, so I started scratching its side and it squealed, went rigid, and flopped right over on its side. I told my friend that all pigs do this, that you can scratch a pig that weighs a half ton on the side and it will do the same thing: squeal, go rigid, and fall over. Has anyone else observed this before? Does anyone know why scratching a pig on the side makes them do this?
Never heard of “pig tipping” before.
I’ve had dogs fall over from “leaning into” my rubbing their ear.
If what you’re saying is true, I’d be careful which side I scratched a half-ton pig from.
I’ve never tried this with a larger pig, but a few years ago I was at a petting-zoo with the kids. They had a young piglet, perhaps 3-4 weeks old if the attendant was to be believed. I started scratching it behind the ear - the same spot that dogs/cats seem to love so much and lean into - and the piglet leaned into my hand and slooooowwwwwlllllyyyyy tipped over, grunting in pleasure, legs rigid, until it was lying on its side with my hand still scritching the whole time. It lay there, oinking softly, as long as I continue scratching it.
I believe this is the very embodiment of the expression “hog heaven”
Yeah, I’d recommend being careful when doing this with a larger animal - could be embarassing if you don’t jump out of the way in time
I think you gave that pig a “happy ending”.
::d&r::
Do you mean as in, “What happened to your leg?”
“A hog fell on it.”
“A Harley, you mean?”
“Uh, no. A Duroc; a thousand-pound hog, on my uncle’s farm.” :eek:
You must have the pigs g-spot.
