Yippee! I won the primary

Sort of a continuation of this thread, I won the primary yesterday. Now the real work begins. I am running as a Democrat in a heavily Republican county. (It was a closed primary, and the losing Republican got more than twice the number of votes I got.) But anyway, I won.

Any advice or good wishes would be appreciated.

Congratulations and best of luck, from one underdog to another

Much good luck to you, Reloy3!

Congratulations, Reloy!

From the other thread:

I’m curious to know if you were appointed to the position? If you were, that could give you a serious leg up against your opponent come November. Also, do you have a website yet?

Best of luck – I’ll be rooting for you!

Congratulations!

As for going as a Democrat in a Republican county, I’d try to stay away from bashing the other opponent (that seems to be a hot button nowadays) and focus on justice - you are going for a District Attorney type of position, right? Focus on justice and cracking down on criminals, something almost everyone agrees needs to be done, and something Republicans seem to find admirable (not speaking for all of them, as I am not one, this is just my views having covered the local election here).

Best of luck!
