I used to post here long ago before the board went to pay. Back then I was using the name ConsuelaBobuela. Full disclosure so no one thinks I’m a sock puppet or something equally vile.
I didn’t pony up when the boards wanted cash becauuse a) I didn’t want to use my CC on it and b) I felt I was kind of assy when I posted. I was new to message boards then and I have learned much since then. That does not mean I won’t still be assy, just when the need arises.
So, I am not a newbie, since I have been lurking for a few years. I have favorite posters that I follow, but I will never say who they are.
They prefer that you reuse your previous persona and ask for a name-change as necessary – I suggest you email tubadiva (at aol dot com) and ask for her help in doing that.

I gotta say i’m already mourning that fifteen bucks. I’ve never known mods this brutal. Or am I getting ahead of myself? Should I bake them cookies?
I believe TubaDiva prefers top-quality chocolates. The rest of the mods and admins prefer unmarked small bills in plain brown envelopes. Everyone else here just wishes you’d brought pie.
There is a relatively narrow window of things you can’t do, but in that window the mods are absolute Nazis. This tends to make the boards a rather nice place.
A tip for all of you: If the unrelenting pressure of our stilettoed bootheels on your neck is oppressive, please say something. An email is fine. If you think I’m the one doing the repressing, complain to another administrator, pick one.
Otherwise, send chocolate. And scotch.
I also like good poetry and long letters. And walks on the beach.
