US Postal Service announces Star Wars stamps

In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Star Wars saga, the U.S. Postal Service today announced it is releasing a set of 15 Star Wars stamps on May 26 (officially unveiled the day before, May 25- the day Star Wars was first released in 1977). The 15 stamps feature many iconic figures from both the original and prequel trilogies, including Luke, Yoda, Darth Maul, the Stormtroopers, the battle between Anakin and Obi-Wan from Revenge of the Sith, and the Sith Lord himself, Darth Vader. The stamps can be seen on the USPS’s official Star Wars site, where you can also vote for which of the designs will be released as a full pane. In addition, over 400 mailboxes across the United States will be wrapped to look like R2-D2. Help me, Postmaster General, you’re my only hope!
