There’s nothing quite like the cognitive dissonance of encountering a user you’ve never seen who has 5,000-plus posts. Happened to me today – cheers, Freudian Slit! After a minute, it came over me that this was likely just another instance of a known Doper changing her name – as indeed was the case.

So then, in a spasm of public-spiritedness, I decided to put together the definitive list. Here it is, in the format new name/old name.

Batsinma Belfry used to be Hillbilly Queen.

I think FerretHerder used to be someone else, but I don’t remember who.

Barn Owl has had a couple of different names.

Liberal used to be Libertrarian.
