Apparently there’s a place called <link removed --Giraffe> where a bunch of anonymous people do nothing but talk about the members on this forum, primarily taking cheap shots at us and insulting our posts in a crude and tactless way.
Who are these people? Are they posters who were banned from this forum and are so upset by it that they continue to bash it? Are they lurkers who read the SDMB but don’t post on it? Are some of them current Dope members who feel they need a place where they can take cheap shots at others anonymously without the possibility of being banned?
Moreover, I’m just stunned that there’s a forum that exists solely to discuss another forum. And then they have the audacity to claim that Dopers “have no life.” What a bunch of pricks.
Is anyone else here aware of this? Surely some of you have to know about it. It’s been around for years.
This isn’t very much talked about here, but most people are aware of it’s existence. There’s something of an unwritten, unspoken law that suggest we don’t give the trolls their attention. Of course, on this board, attempting to starve trolls is an exercise in futility. But it’s mostly working re that specific place.
Exactly. We ask that people not link to such places, in an effort to keep drama to a minimum. Perhaps also an exercise in futility, but we do what we can.
