Corner of 5th Ave. and 22nd St. in NYC?

There's a They Might Be Giants song that contains the following lyrics:

Quote:
Underneath a big clock at the corner of 5th Avenue and 22nd Street
I stood and waited for a girl I knew at the spot where we agreed to meet
It turns out that this clock is broken, and wacky hijinks ensue. Anyway, I was idly wondering the other day, is there a big clock sticking out of the side of a building at the corner of 5th Ave. and 22nd St.? And if so, is it actually broken? And if not, was it ever?

It's probably this one, across from the Flatiron Building at 22nd and 5th.

I don't know if it's broken or not, though.

It's actually the clock on the corner of the Albert Building.

Picture.

It was indeed stopped for years, but it is running again now.

Actually ten - four minutes for an answer, ten for the correct one.

You guys are the best. THE BEST. I am going to tell MrWhatsit "I told you so," because he's actually the one that was pondering this question, and I said, "I'll ask on the SDMB, someone will have the answer within half a day." I should have bet money on it.
