I offer the following :

Prior to this season these two NFL athletes filmed and recorded Campbells Chunky Soup ads on both radio and TV (and likely print too) :

Terrell Davis (his second year as a Campbells rep)

Kurt Warner (first year)

So Terrell was injured all last season. This season he was supposed to come back and supposed to come back and then, supposed to come back. He finally made it back, had one great game - and is now reinjured for at least the next 3 weeks with a full cast on his calf.

Kurt Warner coming off a season as the NFL MVP lead his Rams to the best record in the League. Then he broke his pinky; without him the team spiralled downward. Finally he was healthy again and played an important division game against the Panthers. He threw 4 interceptions (his career high) and the Rams scored 3 points (a season low). Welcome back.

I love my Chunky Sirloin too much to stop eating it, but you have to admit this is getting creepy.

If in fact there is a "SI" curse, then why not a Campbell's Curse ? Am I paranoid ??

You're not paranoid. The year after the Packers won the Super Bowl, Campbells put Reggie White on a can of soup. The Pack hasn't been the same since....

That's nothing compared to the Gazoo Curse...

Gazoo's picked the winner of the Redskins' game wrong twelve straight weeks now. He picks the Redskins, they lose. He picks their opponent, they win.

He brought the streak to our attention at the five-week mark, and we've watched it continue, week by week, ever since. Every time he picks the Redskins to win, 'Skins fans all over the board recoil in horror, and 'Skins-haters prepare to gloat.

Ya wanna talk creepy, this is it. I'm starting to believe he's a witch doctor.

Yeah, I've noticed the Campbell's Curse as well. In fact, everytime I see the TD ones I think to myself, "I'm not eating that stuff. It's apparently really bad for the knees."

As for the Redskin curse, I think it has more to do with bad coaching than anything else. It'll turn around this week for sure!

Don't sell yourself short, Gazoo. Your power is freaky scary. I mean, there are jinxes and then there are jinxes. I just hope you use your power for good and not evil.

I am pretty sure he is retired. I know he played for the Broncs last season, but they let him go. I do not know if he was picked up by someone else or not - but I have heard nothing about him this season.

Sigh. You haven't been hearing about Neil Smith because he plays here in San Diego now. Maybe there's something to that curse after all.
