Cast the Obama Movie

You’re casting a ‘sky’s the limit’ production of Obama’s Administration: the Early Days. In fact your budget’s so high you can even youthen/age/raise dead actors if necessary. Who would you cast? (In addition to him and his appointees and family you can have flashbacks to his childhood on Krypton or Bush/Cheney’s folk or McCain/Palin, etc.- anyone who’s signficant in his life story.)

I’ll start with:
OBAMA- Brian Stokes Mitchell (with an extra bonus if it can be a musical)

Hillary Clinton- Jane Curtin

Stanley Dunham (his grandfather)- John Lithgow (could bring about a Third Rock Reunion)

Barack Obama, Sr.- a digitally youthened to his What’s Happenin’ Now? days Roger Thomas

Sarah Palin- Tina Fey (I can’t be the only person who sees the resemblance… what?)

Bill Richardson- Graham Greene (the actor, not the writer, obviously)

Feel free to offer alternative casting to any of the above. Now… go!

So it’s a slapstick comedy, right?

Why bother? Hollywood insiders know that **Common **has bought the rights to the hundreds of books that Obama may write about his favorite subject, and will obviously play him in the movie, *The Audacity of Hoping that the Dreams from My Father Result in Change We Can Believe In: Reclaiming the American Dream and Renewing America’s Promise without regard to Race and Inheritance *. Morgan Freeman will probably be his Dad and maybe Bette Midler his mum.

The first family: Will Smith, Regina King, Parker McKenna Posey, Mariana Tolbert.

Pardon my ignorance, but who is Common?

Common is a rap artist wikipedia link

I’ll second three out of four of biggirl’s selections for the First Family, except I don’t think Regina King is as tall as Michelle Obama so I’d suggest Aisha Tyler.

I’m not the only one to think that the obvious choice for Obama is Harry Lennix.

The print ad for seven pounds, with Will Smith wearing a white shirt, his back to the camera and his ears apparently pushed out to look bigger, makes him look very much like Obama. (Can’t find it using Google.) Accident? I think not.

Darryl Hinds. Third down on this list.

It’s a longshot - young guy still making his name - but he’s the one. You heard it here first.
