How many celebrities (actors, rock stars, etc.) have been murdered?
The two that spring immediately to my mind are John Lennon and Tupac Shakur (I am not sure if I spelled his name correctly). A minor B-movie actress, Lana Clarkson, also comes to mind. What other stars would be on the list?
Phil Hartman was the first one I thought of.
Soul-singer Sam Cooke was shot down by a woman in self-defense (the justice system agreed with her - she got off.)
Marvin Gaye was shot by his own father.
Marilyn Monroe was murdered! (If you believe the gossip rags.)
The two that come to mind off the top of my head are Phil Hartman and Haing Ngor (The Killing Fields)
Depends on who you believe about George Reeves, I guess.
Rebecca Shaeffer (sp?) from “My Sister Sam,” with Pam Dawber.
I came in to mention Hartman and Marvin Gaye, so I’ll add that Playmate Dorothy Stratten and Poltergeist actress Dominique Dunne were murdered (Stratten by her husband and Dunne by her boyfriend).
