There is a link to a copy of the order at this link
Let’s hope this gets put to rest quickly. For the record, however, that link also corrects the term “executive order.” It is not. It is a presidential determination. And guess what. George W. Bush signed a similar one in 2007. It is a humanitarian statement that will not bring in hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.
I’ve reported the post.
And what are all of the other good things Georgey boy did for us?
Do you have a copy of the Presidential Determination Georgey boy signed or a link?
And you reported this post why?
Wouldn’t you rather have be people be informed of the inaccuracy of this widely distributed email?

I heard some streets you dont want to walk down, if you dont pray to allah when the prayer starts you get beat to hell.
There is no general question, so, at the very least, it should be reported for being in the wrong forum.
You are such a stickler.
But there is a question in the third post. AS yet unanswered.
FYI, here is the entire text of the presidential determination signed by President Obama:
I’m moving this from General Questions to Great Debates.

Also, please read this article from WorldnetDaily. The lead reads, “Contrary to some news media reports, President Obama did not authorize Palestinian ‘refugees’ to migrate to the U.S. as part of emergency assistance following Israel’s 22-day war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.”
And how does 20.3 million for pali’s help us here? In our current financial situation, with our energy, water, environmental & urban sprawl concerns I see little motive to increase immigration in any way shape or form. Especially potential hostiles. Which we apparently have already imported to Dearborn & that seems to be working out pretty good for us, How?
Now that was a good post.
Thank you
FYI, I found that article and many more by searching on the title of the determination (Unexpected Urgent Refugee and Migration Needs Related To Gaza). So you can do more reading if you like.
Just so you know, butwhat, descriptive thread titles are very strongly encouraged here. The title of this thread left things a wee bit nebulous, to put it mildly.
How does giving $3 billion a year to Israel help us here? We literally spend $20 million dollars about every 8 seconds in Iraq. How has that helped us here?
$20 million in aid is nothing. We’ve lost – literal lost,as in misplaced, don’t know where it is – 400 times that amount in Iraq.
Thanks to Dewey for harpooning this so quickly.
If we spent the same amounts to become energy independant We wouldn’t be involved in the middle east at all.
We give them money either directly or for oil & then they attack us. Is it just me or does a part of that seem really stupid?
And I really truly do not understand why we let Moslem immigrants stay or accept more. Any Moslem immigrant is a potential terrorist & a threat to national security. Look at Dearborn, Michigan.
Kick out everybody from the middle east that is not a citizen.
If a few innocents get kicked out along the way, to bad so sad. It is a matter of national security. If’n you don’t think so, you need to do some reading about 9-11 and other attacks perpetrated here & there.
That’s true. I aplogize for not fixing the title when I moved the thread. I was working on two things at once and simply forgot. By the time I realized my error, I was involved in another project, so I asked one of the Great Debates moderators to change it for me.
Aaaand he dives right down the hole! I give it a 3.0, as far as racist, xenophobic rants go. Note enough of the crazy. All I see is a little bit of paranoia and a whole lot of ignorance.
Out of interest, what did happen in Dearborn, Michigan?
It’s suffering pretty badly from the whole Ford mess and decline of the American auto industry, but I don’t see how that’s the Arabs’ fault (except indirectly, because the Arab oil embargo of the 70s led to increased purchases of smaller, more fuel efficient Japanese cars, while the US car manufactures, who’s models tended to be larger, were slow to adopt to the change in American auto buying. But the Dearborn Arabs weren’t generally responsible for this policy.)
Dearborn, btw, is the city with the largest Arab population in the US. It has its problems, along with the rest of the Detroit area, Michigan, and the rust belt in general, but I don’t see that it’s particularly terrible.
Judging from the OP’s tone, the fact that Dearborn is the city with the largest Arab population in the US is the problem.
It has a relatively large Arab-American population – most of them descended from Lebanese Christians who immigrated in the early part of the 20th Century, but some more recent Arab Muslims as well. There’s also a big Mosque.
They haven’t done anything. They haven’t turned into terrorists, or rioted or burned anything down. They just live there. I suppose that’s enough to horrify some people, though.
