The Martin Brodeur Countdown to Excellence Award

Marty is a National Hockey League goalie who is poised to become the winningest goalie in the sport.

He's one win away from tying Patrick Roy's record for most wins.

Now, I know a lot of people out there are thinking "so what?" But as a hockey fan this is a huge milestone. So, can we celebrate together when Marty finally breaks the record?

It's a huge milestone in hockey. Reply here when it eventually happens.

He'll start for sure tomorrow in Montreal - if he gets the win there, the next game is Tuesday at home vs the Black Hawks. After that there's a road game Wednesday in Caroline, followed by a home game on Friday against the Wild.
I'm tempted to see if I can get tickets to Tuesday's game....
