How about Talk to the Wind, or Girl With No Eyes?
I’d probably refer to that general style as “psych folk” or possibly “acid folk”, so you might want to do some searching around those terms. I’m not a huge fan of that style, so I don’t have too many recommendations. However, you might want to check out the Acid Mothers Temple album Do Whatever You Want, Don’t Do Whatever You Don’t Want; it’s a “friends and relations” compilation album that has a number of songs that may fit your criteria.
