We have 11 or 12 members from last year signed up again so far. The only person missing is Spiritus Mundi. He hasn’t posted on the board for most of a year. I sent him an e-mail and PM, but if he doesn’t sign on soon we’ll recruit someone else.
We should probably do the ESPN thing again this year - only properly have our own league’s draft unlike the scramble to take over a mock draft room like last year - although hey, an ad-hoc draft with obstacles is becoming a tradition.
We’ll need to pick a draft time. I prefer to go after the third week of preseason, and currently that Monday (Aug 31) is being used by the all-pro league. I don’t know if people like drafts on weekends, so sometime from Wednesday Sep 2 to Thursday Sep 3 seems like it’d be good. The 7th and 8th (Monday/Tuesday) are being taken up by the keeper league and potentially the big league.
So I’m going to propose Wednesday, September 2nd at 9pm eastern as our draft date. Does that pose a problem for anyone? Since it’s essential that everyone make an auction draft, it’s important that this works for everyone. Suggestions?
If we want to change the scoring system or anything like that, I’m up for some discussion on that issue too.
Oh, and about last year’s screwup, after rereading part of last year’s thread, I’m going to shift at least half the blame on LOUNE since if he had accepted the invite as he said he would then our draft wouldn’t have been cancelled.
We did have the extra Flex position last year, and I’m happy to not use it this year. I always seemed to be on the wrong end of some slot receiver/ 3rd down back scoring 15 points.
I sent out invite e-mails to the ESPN league to the addresses listed in the yahoo league. ESPN (as far as I can tell) doesn’t allow a enter league number/password system for joining leagues. You have to be invited by e-mail.
You should all have ESPN accounts from our draft last year. So you sign up to the league for the e-mail, we hold our draft on ESPN on Sep 2, and then I transfer over the results of the draft to the yahoo league, where we play out the season.

I went ahead and invited Jules Andre to our league. I know him from the all-pro league to be a very active player so he’ll be a good addition to our group. That fills us up. Only 4 people are signed up to the ESPN league - find the invitation e-mail I sent out or post or PM me if you need me to send it to another address.
It didn’t show up in my regular hotmail account, so I’m guessing it’s sitting in whatever espn account I made last year. I’m not entirely sure I remember what that was, so I made need to create a new one. I’ll PM you no later than this weekend if I need help.
I sent it to whatever e-mail address is listed on the “manager” page on the yahoo leagues - the same address that would’ve had your invite for the yahoo leagues.
Weird, I never got anything. Though I am in the yahoo auction league. Do me a favor and send it again? (Yahoo auction league address is the correct one.)
I’ve never done anything on ESPN (except last year), and I’m trying to figure out how to change my team’s information (like team name, etc.) Anybody help a guy out?
