Who leaked the Deathly Hallows?

Well, it's been two years since Harry Potter 7 came out, and I have wondered who leaked the book onto the internet.

For those that don't remember, individual photos of each page were release a few days before the book came out. In fact, my wife and I, who pre-ordered the book, downloaded the leak and I can confirm it was real.

So, did anything ever happen with that? I'm unable to find much about it. I assume if they caught the person who did it, they would have been in serious trouble.

I don't know the answer to the OP, but once the book officially hit shelves, this stopped being news. I did love the overreactions that some of the media outlets were making about this leak tho. I mean, its a friggin BOOK, its not like its the seasonal orange juice crop report or the like!

FTR, I read the entire book via these photo scans before it got the official release. I think we even had our own doper discussion thread. After I got burned on the big spoiler from the previous book (ironically it was in the subject line of the usenet post which published the early release in ebook format) there was NO WAY I was going to get spoiled again, so I made sure I was among the first to complete the series.

Wouldn't it have been a hoot to hack the leaked copy and change the ending! "Whaaa... DUmbledore's not dead because he was undercover all along as... Mrs. Dursley?"
