Exotic Putty
A co-worker brought in five cans of Aaron's Brain Putty -- sort of Silly Putty with strange additives. there's glow-in-the-dark putty in several colors, opalescent putty, color-changing thermal responsive putty, several kinds of colored putty and -- best of all -- magnetic putty. This stuff held itself up on our (metal) wall without any other support.
http://www.puttyworld.com/index.html Go to the website and see movies of the magnetic putty swallowing up rare earth magnets as if it were an amoeba. Look at the picture of a live version of "Persistance of Memory" made out of Thinking Putty. And other odd stuff. be warned, though, the stuff costs $10 a tin. might be worth it, though. |

That's cool. I may have a Christmas present here.

Oh, that magnetic putty is awesome. It's movements look almost intentional, yet are caused by simple forces (well, outwardly simple -- I don't even want to know what goes on inside of that stuff).

We bought a mix of these last year.
I've got one of the purple electric. We also got some of the magnetic putty. It's rather fun putting a ball bearing magnets on it, and watching the putty kind of grow around it. |

I've had that site bookmarked for some time. Nice to hear that the products are worthwhile, well fun anyway. Guess I need to order some.
