Brits--Geoff Dyer
I am looking for British opinions and knowledge of Geoff Dyer. His most recent book is Jeff in Venice, Death in Varanasi. Americans feel free to chime in.
Is Geoff Dyer a well-known writer in Britain? Most Americans do not seem to have heard of him. Has his profile increased with Jeff in Venice? What do people think of him? |

I have a book of his about D.H. Lawrence which I still haven't got round to reading, so I at least have heard of him. But clearly he's not a household name.

Out of Sheer Rage is his book about DH Laurence. But its not about DH Laurence rilly, but about his struggles to write the book. Its also a very very good book. Have not read anything else. I'll look for Jeff in Venice.
