How easy is it to install a new burner pan assembly in a NG fireplace?

Here is my fireplace.

Here is the connection between the NG pipe at right and the old burner pan assembly at left

I would think that with a crescent wrench and a new burner pan assembly with flex pipe connector to the NG line, it would be a no brainer to install.

Anything I am severely underestimating about this plan? Do I need pipe tape for this project?

'Twas easy (so easy that advice here was unnecessary!)- just a bit of a dirty job to rip out the old stuff. Looks SO great. Amazing how you get used to something that looks so terrible and when you change it, it blows your mind!
