Convince me to resub with Eve :)

I tried Eve for about 3 months about 1-2 years ago.

I wanted to like it…I really wanted to like it. I love the ‘old style’ number crunching this game allows you to make. Lots of nuance.

However, try as I might, I grew bored with it.

Mining - not the most exciting. Doesn’t make nearly enough Isk than mission running does (below). Can’t really collect the material to make ships because (see Industry below).

Mission running - I became really good at this. Made tons of Isk this way. That being said…it is the same thing over and over.

Industry - Could never find anyplace to make stuff. They all seemed to be busy for 28+ days in the future.

I love PvP…but there is no place to ‘cut your teeth’ and learn the ropes. All combats are huge affairs or small affairs where you have no chance - either in experience in PvPing in Eve nor in raw strength. (Experienced people are NOT going to give you an even fight - that’s what makes them experienced :slight_smile: )

So…Eve lovers…please convince me to reup…what could I do if I did that would be fun?

You need to hook up with the right corp and alliance. If you are serious about learning to PVP, there are a couple of corps that will train people to fight. EVE University is probably your best bet.

You need to find a corp ultimately that is a good fit.

as far as making money goes, you could always play the market or get into plexes/wormholes; personally, I’ve always survived simply on ratting in 0.0.

not sure if faction warfare was around when you last played, but I’m told it’s a good way to ease into pvp.

I’ll second the suggestion to find a decent sized corp/alliance that can provide you with access to good ratting, wormholes, plexes and pvp training, as well as Eve University.
