Been hoping for this thread, someone setting up the league. Thanks for offering! You’ll at least be pitting your dart throwing skills against one other person.
I’ve been thinking about doing this as well, can’t wait for the racing to start.
What’s your thinking on the new point structure and chase format.
I can’t decide if I like it or not.

I like the new point system, but the chase…I just don’t know. NASCAR tries to simplify things by making them more ridiculous than before.

However they do it is fine. The reseeding is what screws it all up. The drivers also don’t need 10 additional bonus points for a win. They were already getting at least 5 bonus points to begin with. The reseeding bullshit took all the emphasis off of consistency. The massive lead built by Kevin Harvick and his series best 26 top ten finishes and only 1 DNF (Johnson had 4) went completely unrewarded. A 228 point lead after Richmond and what should have been a 295 point margin of victory, pre-Chase, turned into a 3rd place finish, 39 points back.
Sure Hamlin won 8 races, but only finished in the top ten 10 additional times, but Harvick and Johnson pretty much made it a weekly habit.

We’re up to five teams; a week to go to the Daytona 500. Hope we can get a few more players in.
Drat. For the second year in a row, I forgot to pick drivers in time for the first race. Sigh. My team’s in the group, anyway: Hellhole Ratracing.
Oh wait, no I wasn’t too late after all, just confused. Great! Hellhole Ratracing is currently tied for first place!
Wait, are there points awarded for the Shootout? Yeah, looks like there are. Rats.
The Shootout doesn’t count for NASCAR season points, since not all drivers are eligible for the race and it is not included in the 36 regular-season races. The Daytona 500 is the first points race.
