I dont ask for the Mods to explain why they ban someone (I understand a lot of the bannings are spammers or bots) but could you detail why **Rondembo **was banned?
I just saw one warning, and boom, he’s gone. Seeing as his threads did have a lot of views and answers from other posters, could you just give us in a sentence or two what happened?

As the mods have explained several times, when a poster is banned with no explanation, it’s usually because they were a vampire.
But wouldn’t garlic be enough to fix them – or is it a wooden stake through the heart?
Well, seeing as his Pitt thread was hastily locked as well, I guess my question will remain unanswered, and this thread will probably be locked.
I have to say I dont understand the policy. He was irritating, but the Trotsky treatment seems way overkill.
For what it’s worth, posters that get banned without warning are usually spammers (who just join to post links to a commercial site) and sock puppets. I suspect that our football-loving friend was the latter.

We normally post an announcement if a long term poster is banned.
Short-termers don’t necessarily get that.
If you don’t see an announcement, then:
If it’s a long-term poster, and the banning happened a short time ago, then an announcement is probably in the process of being written. Exceptions may be in the case of socking.
If it’s a short termer, you can assume it’s for spamming, socking, or trolling. If you really want a detailed explanation, please e-mail or PM a moderator.

Well, it would be surprising that Rondembo and pinguin be the same guy. pinguin’s English was quite broken. And Rondembo’s trolling was far more sophisticated than any of pinguin’s “serious posts”.
They were not the same.
