Problems with forming Spain in Europa Universalis - Divine Wind

Hey all!

I am playing EU3 with a couple of friends, and I chose to go with Castille. One of my goals is forming the Spanish nation. However, for some reason I can't. And there is only one possible reason that I can see to why I cannot do this. I have taken all provinces on the Iberian peninsula except Lisboa, Aragon is erased, my religion is Catholic and I have core in all the required provinces. However, a few of the provinces in my country changed religion to protestant or reformed, so my question is this:

Do all of the provinces on the Iberian peninsula have to be Catholic? The only thing left marked with a red * in the decision says the following:

(*)Iberian Peninsula:

is NOT owned by Castille
Castille is Catholic

I just wanna know if I have to convert all provinces on the IBP :P I am currently on my way of doing so btw

I'm not sure why you're making a thread here, rather than posting in the EU3 thread that already exists or on the official EU3 forums. Your chance of getting a good answer here wasn't all that great.

Religion has nothing to do with the Form Spanish Nation decision; as Castille you just need cores on the required provinces. Are you using any mods? I just fired up a Castille game and checked the decision requirements and there was no mention made of the Iberian Peninsula.

That's weird. I just pulled up my copy and under the "Iberian Peninsula" requirement that was to complete the Reconquista. In order to form Spain all you needed were cores on select provinces. Are you sure you're looking at the National Decisions and not the missions?
