At this point there is almost no specific information so it is hard to form an opinion. And also you not only called it rape, you called it RAPE. Anything I have read has used the term sexual assault. In legal terms the words sexual assault can encompass many charges lesser than what most would consider rape (not that any of those things are good). So the public does not even know what he is actually accused of doing. Definitely too early to tell.
This isn’t news yet. Until there’s a conviction (in which case he’s guilty of sexual assault) or they find her guilty of false reporting. Saying he deserves the benefit of the doubt is pointless, really. Neither of them deserves anything yet. Well, she deserves counseling (whether she’s lying or telling the truth). But nothing other than that.
