A to Z Burger: 26 toppings, or maybe more

So I’m sitting in Wendy’s eating a double cheese with ketchup, lettuce, mustard, onion and it occurs to me that they spell K, L, M, O. So I got to thinking what you could put on a burger that began with N for a 5-letter run:
nachos?
noodles?
nori?
nutmeg?
nasturtiums?

From there it was an easy leap to the concept of an A to Z Burger, with 26 or more toppings - being that most letters contain too much delicious stuff to keep it to one topping.

You could also do multiple varieties of cheese, lettuce, onion, bun, etc. on your burger - even meats - of course increasing the number of patties as needed. I’m thinking a 26-topping A-Z order would need eight or nine patties, and possibly seven or eight bun bottoms.

The master list I came up with:

American cheese, ancho chilis, anchovies, apple chips
Bacon, blue cheese, brown mustard, bibb lettuce, barbecue sauce
Cheddar cheese, cream cheese, Canadian bacon, chutney, cabbage
Dijon mustard, donut (plain cake or glazed)
Endive, egg (fried, sliced hardcooked, deviled, salad…)
French fries (in the burger), fennel, foie gras, fontina cheese, French dressing, flatbread, focaccia, frisée
Green onions, green chilis, green pepper
Hot sauce, honey mustard, horseradish, habañeros, ham
Iceberg lettuce, Italian sausage
Jalapeños, jack cheese, jerk chicken, jus (beef drippins)
Ketchup, kaiser roll, knish
Leaf lettuce, lox, liverwurst
Mayonnaise, mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce, mushrooms (the plain old kind)
Noodles, nachos, nori
Olives, okra
Pickles, pancetta, prosciutto, paprika, Parmesan cheese, pepperoni, pepperoncini, pimiento, peppercorns, peanut butter, portobello, porcini
Queso, quesadillas, quinoa, quark
Red onion, red pepper, radish, relish, romaine lettuce, radicchio, ratatouille
Salsa, Spam, spinach, sprouts
Tomato, tomatillo, tofu, Taylor pork roll, tuna, turkey burger, toast
Underwood deviled ham, udo
Velveeta, Vegemite, vinaigrette, Vienna sausage, veggie burger, vegetable of the day (could be broccoli, carrots, succotash…)
White onion, wasabi, watercress, Worcestershire sauce
Xtra portion of any topping
Yellow mustard, yellow onion
Zatarain’s creole seasoning, zingara

Now you build a burger you like. One of each, A to Z, whatever you think would go together (or anything else you might suggest). Happy appetite!

There is no “ñ” in habanero, in either the spelling or pronunciation.

P- pineapple (sounds weird, but on an Australian burger “with the lot” it’s FABulous)

Speaking of which:

Some more additions

No love for

Basil?

Any burger with tomato can be improved with the addition of basil. (So can any burger without tomato, but why split up best friends?)

Ah, on review, I see that Little Nemo’s list includes “fresh basil leaves”. The “fresh” part really ought to go without saying in this context.
