Ok, am I the only one who had to back up his TiVo when the morgue Dr called that corpse 'Diane'?! That sure looked like a guy to me the first time! So I guess that wasn't the dead girl's father & mother but the dead mother's husband and mop-haired son...

I was paying more attention to the House and Wilson/Kyle road trip.

An 80-ounce steak?? I would have hurled it all up too.

Hey...were you able to read House's expression at the end regarding Wilson's tumor?

Not a great episode. Wilson's behavior doesn't seem particularly believable. I found myself getting yanked out of the story a couple of times. Once, when it was obvious that Wilson's car didn't have legal license plates. Again, when they suddenly acquired a bald head prosthetic in the middle of Colorado and somehow convinced two women it was legit. And finally, when the airbags didn't go off when Wilson wrecked the car.

Colorado? Surely that was Southern California doing a bad impression of Pennsylvania (going from New Jersey to Cleveland, right?).

That was exactly the point. Hell, House spent most of the episode trying to tell Wilson (err Kyle) he wasn't believable. Wilson hinted at this last week when he mentioned that he spent his whole life trying to be good and still ended up miserable, just like House. He figured as long as he was going to end up miserable and in pain like House, he might as well have fun like House. It resolved at the end when he couldn't leave the old lady at the bus stop.

Of course, they could have done the same thing in a quarter of the time by having Wilson talk about all the things he wanted to do only to have some patient or meeting that he couldn't blow off and 'resolve' it by having House say "see, I told you you wouldn't be able to let loose." But I think the producers know the end is coming and probably had some extra money so they blew it on a Corvette, a funeral procession and a bunch of fun camera rigs to play with. Plus, House (or a stunt double) got to get the Motorcycle out one last time, which I was just thinking we haven't seen in quite a while. I'm sure they got a nice kickback from Honda for that as well.

We also go Motorhead, though it would have been better had it been Overkill or Killed By Death. Then again we got some crappy cover of Radar Love.

I thought it was pretty good actually. Better then a lot of the other ones this season.

House's expression at the end was just the right combo platter of horror and ambiguity. Of course, knowing House, even if you were sure if he was happy or sad, you couldn't be sure of why.

And yeah, those mountains looked like nothing I've ever seen between New Jersey and Ohio.

Was that a Corvette? Or a Camaro? I guess I haven't seen the latest iteration of either one.

I did like the concept of the pathologist who keeps score on the doctors. Sort of like the Quality Control department keeping scores on the manufacturing departments; they end up being natural enemies!

Also: the dismantling of the team has begun! This ep definitely had an "end of the line" feeling to it from top to bottom.

They actually used a corpse gurney! Very few medical shows use them. Real hospitals don't throw a sheet over a body and wheel them around. Far too icky. Of course if you have any brains you will immediately know what's going on with that funny tall gurney.

My personal fave: Playing Rock Me by Steppenwolf on the road trip. Been there, done that. (With "there" looking a lot more like what they showed rather than what the NE US actually looks like.) But I doubt that Wilson and House listened to it on 8-track tape.

So, Cameron is in Chicago. Sending her away and killing off CB were the two things that basically sent the show on its downward spiral. The rest is epilogue.

Presumably Chase will still be hanging around for the next 2 episodes in some way. He just won't have a locker. (Like you turn in your locker key to the CoM.)

Not that great an episode otherwise. Example: So the doctors have had a long term mortal enemy down in the morgue. But we've never seen or heard of him before. Until he's the PotW.

Attn. TV writers: Stop pulling long term enemies out of your hat. Introduce them, build it up, then give them their Big Episode.

I would have liked more Peter Weller. I guess he was busy directing and just threw in a cameo. Unless he figures in to the last two episodes.

Yeah, what the heck was with that?! Maybe it's just me but that sound-alike song stuck out like a sore thumb. Back in the day they never paid for the real versions, but for the last two decades movies & even TV shows have always sprang for the real thing. And especially in such an expensive, A-list show as House!
