Describe your final scene for "Breaking Bad"

Mine is obviously tongue in cheek but still, in my humble opinion, somehow appropriate.

Walter Jr. is sitting, calmly eating breakfast. The camera pulls back, showing him surrounded by the smoking ruins of civilization.

Jesse teaching chemistry to a group of rapt and adoring High School students.

Nuked from orbit…

He gets up, walks away, toss off the crutches and his feet straighten out. I think we covered the Walt Jr is KS scenario in one of the other threads (was it you that mentioned it)?

I’m not sure what “KS” is, but my point was that, through all of the chaos, Jr. has been totally oblivious to what’s happening around him (and usually eating breakfast). This captures that in one scene.

Then it wasn’t you. People like to float the Walt Jr is Keyser Soze* joke once in a while. As a joke it’s kinda funny, but it doesn’t really work beyond that.

*That is, that Walt Jr is actually the mastermind behind everything, he was above Gus and calling all the shots throughout the entire series.

Walt wakes up in bed with Emily.

Hal wakes up in bed with Lois.

I’m thinking back to the mariachi Heisenberg video that opened the show a few seasons back.

I say Walt drives out to the desert and back to where he and Jesse first cooked. He dons the dark glasses and black hat one last time. Takes out the ricin pill he had grabbed from the house, swallows it dry and then a close up on Walt as he drops to his knees and slumps forward.

Fade to black.

The Madrigal commercial?

Walt teaching chemistry in some less-than-first-world country, struggling to get the words across in Spanish.

Walt laying dying in a pool of his vomit as Walt Jr walks away from him refusing to help.

Yep. Pretty much this. Fits the Shakespearean arc and is a great bit of closure to the ricin cigarette, a Chekov’s Gun if there ever was one…

Nope. This one.

Or…

Jerry Seinfeld walks up to Walt, shakes his head and says, “Whatley.”

Walt in his tighty-whiteys in front of the smoking ruins of a Mexican town, M-60 under one arm, blazing fire from the muzzle, a beautiful senorita with a ripped bodice clutching him around the waist. In other words, the cover from a Harlequin Romance novel.

Walt’s cancer is cured. He gets a life sentence the same day.

I just posted this in another BB thread before I saw this one. Somehow the cops miraculously overlook Walt’s snubby laying in the sand when they clean up the mess from the shootout. A month later, after everybody is dead and buried, two Reservation children playing in the desert stumble across the gun and one picks it up and shoots the other.

The closing credits should be the video of Gale singing Major Tom.

Walt gets executed. The next day, meth is legalized.
