Last Sunday a police officer was shot to death in my city, at a traffic stop. He left a wife and two children.
Today his obituary appeared in the paper. His survivors were listed, the wife, the kids, his parents and sisters.
And, since he was a K-9 officer. his canine partner, Magnum, was listed too.
The community is mourning the death of this officer, and I wonder if Magnum can tell his partner isn’t coming back. Sniff.
He’ll probably quit the force, move to Hawaii and, well, you know.
That’s going to confuse the hell out of the lads.
A local k-9 officer was killed a few years ago. The funeral had a procession of all the k-9 officers and their canine partners. The fallen officer’s partner was walked in and he started barking. It was not a happy bark. That got me crying. He was retired and lives with the officer’s family.
And to think, most police officers are all-too-willing to shoot a strange dog that they think might be a threat.
I don’t know if it’s junior modding to accuse a member of threadshitting, but I can predict that some posters might not take too kindly to the above comment.

I’m not claiming it’s untrue, I just thought it was a bit insensitive of tracer to leave a drive-by turd in this particular thread. But sensitivity and good manners be damned for some of us here, I guess. :rolleyes:
