Star Wars hover car /hovercraft invented

It looks like a team of people invented hover car /hovercraft like in the Star Wars movie http://www.searchamateur.com/pictures/star-wars-landspeeder-hovercraft-250.jpg

I never know this would be possible.

Divinci invented it.

Now, does your youtube video really show a device that matches the star wars spec ?
I don’t see a toy when I look at the star wars model.
Here’s a description… does any of this say “Toy” ? No.

"There were many types of landspeeders, from sporty civilian models designed for speed and flashy looks (often these were given stylish bodywork and/or paint jobs) to everyday utility craft that ranged from small speeder trucks capable of hauling small cargo to massive freighter-like transports that could carry tremendous loads. There were even a number of models either built specifically for military use (such as the TX-130 Saber-class fighter tank) to civilian models modified for military use (for instance, the Flash speeder used by the Royal Naboo Security Forces). "

The backdrop is the most authentic bit.

This is just a prototype youtube maker invented.I Don’t think he was trying to make it look like star wars look but it is a hovercraft.

It is just a prototype.

Moderator Action

I don’t see a factual question here (or any other question for that matter).

Since this is related to the Star Wars movies, let’s move it to Cafe Society.

I hear it’s full of eels.

Can you hunt womp rats from it?

In the real world, if either of the blades stopped the rider would almost certainly suffer severe injury or death. Just like the twin fanned standup “jet pack”, there’s no gliding down with these kind of contraptions.

sweat209, is this really the first time you’ve ever seen a helicopter?

That’s always my first thought with these things too.

This isn’t the landspeeder you’re looking for.

Stanley Hiller was making these in the 1950s. Actually he started with one-man craft in the 40s, but his 50s work looks more like this. Worked better, too. Just Google Stanley Hill ducted-fan platforms.

Hovercraft of various designs go back much further.

Nothing new to see here. Move along.

So for it to be true landspeeders what must it all do that the youtube video one is not getting any where close?

That was the Incom T-16 skyhopper; totally different vehicle from the landspeeder.

Uh, I mean, I just…I just Googled that. Gosh, I don’t even know what any of that means!

Hey, look–some sort of football game is on!

:whistles in a totally non-nerdy way while strolling off nonchalantly:

Use magic instead of fans.

Or sufficiently advanced technology.

If the one in the video qualifies for a landspeeder we’ve had them for decades.

What do you mean? It can’t use fan ,jet engine or blowing air? Because in the movies they are using anti-gravity?

First landspeeder kinda did look sorta like small jet engine on the top http://entropy2.com/madscience/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Landspeeder.jpeg

This one could easy look like air intake or jets http://tor.zamimg.com/uploads/images/10655.jpg
This one looks like it has no fan or jet.

This at the back could be some air intake

This looks like ant-gravity I see no fan or jet or air intake.

This looks harder but it could be jet or air intake at the back.

Same with this one http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120115155845/starwars/images/e/ee/Gianspeeder-NEGVV.jpg

Gravity?
Ha!
You Earthlings and your silly forces.
