I just noticed that the current Rolling Stone has a tribute article on Aaliyah. "Sigh..." I said to Mr. Rilch. "Just three weeks ago, was it, you were one person hoping one friend was okay."
Mr. Rilch has a friend who worked on Aaliyah's last video. Mr. Rilch somehow convinced himself that Courtney had schmoozed his way onto the plane that went down. He didn't, and he's fine. I feel very, very fortunate to be able to say that.

I remember "normal." IIRC, it sucked. It's the part of history that didn't suck that was abnormal.
