I just found one more of those weird organs and it’s definitely the stomach my cat leaves behind. I took a closer look to solve the mystery :dubious:
They’re just full from being fed cat food.
They stay crunchy . . . even in milk!

if you eat the head the rest of the tasty and nutritious animal isn’t going to run away. lots of cats i’ve seen start with the head.
dogs will do the head too in smaller prey they’ve killed. they even eat/bite/dismember the heads of stuffed toys.
