Jo Jo's Circus

Jo Jo’s Circus, , for the uninitiated, is a kickass little kids’ show on the Disney channel. I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of animation this show utilizes. It looks at first glance like your standard stop-motion animation, but as you watch the show you realize, “Man, this is really great stop-motion!!” The body movements are especially realistic and smooth. I was wondering if anyone knew if this is indeed stop-motion or some more high tech method designed to look like stop-motion, only better.

Hey, hey, it’s Jo Jo’s Circus…

all i can say, is

Get Back JoJo!

Don’t know about the animation, but for a kid’s show, the theme song kicks ass. Who does it?

To my untrained eye, the animation on the show appears to be tradition clay-based stop-motion, but this is only based on the fact that there appear to be “cracks” in JoJo’s shirt that seem to only be able to happen in clay-based forms.

The theme song is performed by becky, with Keanu Reeves on bass (yes, that Keanu Reeves).
