I’m in, as always, and, as always, went with EW’s predictions (though not completely – just couldn’t bring myself to go with Sandra Bullock over Meryl Streep, whose Julia Child was so, um, delicious). I usually come in second or third that way, but would definitely do worse, not better, if I adopted another strategy. 
I’m in. This is the first Oscar Pool I’ve ever done. I’ve seen almost every film nominated, so I have a pretty good feeling about my picks. Why are some categories worth more points than others? It isn’t due to the # of the nominees…
