Solar biomass gasification

Technology Review is reporting today about a technology to gasify biomass using solar concentrators versus the conventional approach which involves burning biomass. Their goal is a full scale reactor by 2015 which can produce 100 million gallons/year. Two questions: one, is 100 million just a drop in the bucket, and two, what quantity of biomass are we talking about here? Is there enough feedstock to produce 10% of the fuel consumed in the country every year? 20%?

Thanks,
Rob

Maybe someone reading this now will know. Also, to clarify, I believe the reactor is producing syngas from biomass by heating it with sunlight versus burning biomass.
