Just came on to post this. Saw it on TV.
TV isn’t really saying anything new, except that multiple people were shot outside a supermarket.
Others appear to have been injured as well.
So the ‘Second Amendment Option’ is being used.
I hope those who suggested it are proud of themselves. (I’m looking at you, Bachmann and Palin!)

cnn has ear/eye witness on phone who is on site and heard the shots. he says that 2 people are on the ground dead.
also that rep giffords was shot possibly point blank in the head, loaded on to lifeflight, she was moving as she was taken away.
they have closed off the area and are searching the lot and area. shooter possibly still on the loose.
According to this the shooter was apprehended by bystanders.
Somebody also sent a mail bomb to Janet Napolitano a day or two ago that blew up at the post office. Fucking teabaggers. It’s Fox News and the rest of the right wing media complex that’s responsible for this. This is the chickens coming home to roost. :mad:
None of the news organizations have confirmed who was responsible yet, but you’re already pointing fingers. Ever consider that trying to be hatefully partisan about things like this is what causes fringe people to turn violent?
I mean for fuck’s sake, anyone who believes in civilized democracy doesn’t want to see something like this happen. I am very opposed to some of the things this congresswoman believes in but I still think it’s tragic if she ends up dying over this.
The congresswoman from my area in Tucson was shot this morning. She was shot in the head, along with 10 others who were wounded. At least so it says in early reporting.
She was having an “Talk with the Congresswoman” at a local grocery store not too far from me.
She was recently re-elected Democrat.
I’m shocked.
Hey, Dio, when OK City was hit, all the speculation was that it was Muslim terrorists. Until it turned out to be a home grown terrorist/psycho.
This could be a random whacked-out guy with a gun. Let’s hold off on blaming anyone until there are more facts.
they maybe searching to be sure the person was alone or find the shooters vehicle. the on scene person says they are searching cars.
It was here in Tucson, not that far from my house. They are now reporting 12 others injured and transported to the hospital.

First, “Second Amendment option” is a right wing catchphrase; they don’t believe in civilization or democracy, only in brute force, tyranny and selfishness. I don’t know that this is a political killing or not; but political murder is exactly what the Right has been pushing for.
And it doesn’t matter how “hatefully partisan” the Left is (especially since that typically translates to “daring to disagree with their natural overlords, the Republicans”) since the Right is dominated by people who are basically insane. People who live in a fantasy world where Democrats are traitors and Obama is a secret Muslim Kenyan terrorist and the Antichrist.
Fox News is loudly talking about how conservative a Democrat she was and trying to suggest (on the baiss of absolutely nothing) that she must have been targeted by liberals for her anti-immigration stances.
