I’m disappointed. A two hour Christmas special and apparently they couldn’t manage to squeeze in either the Hanukkah Harry sketch, or the alternate ending to It’s A Wonderful Life where they kick the crap out of old man Potter. In fact, I don’t think there was a single sketch from the Phil Hartman/Dana Carvey/Jon Lovitz era. And there was way too much stuff from the last five or so years, most of it not very funny. In fact, most of the musical numbers were crap, IMHO.
But they did have the Irwin Maimway sketch (“Bag o’ Glass”) and of course Schwetty Balls. And I hadn’t seen the sketch before where Alec Baldwin does his “Glengarry Glen Ross” speech to the elves. That was pretty funny.
