So anything he says here should be taken with a mine of salt. But as for the TP faction (clearly what he means) going third-party, I’m sure he’s not the only one saying it. Is there any chance at all?
Please?

Boy oh boy do I hope so!
Yeah. Please give us that trouble.
Go splitters, go!
Does Erickson hold a position as an arbiter on a level with Rushbo or Sean Hannity, such that he can offer such declarations?
Erickson also insisted that the 2012 presidential election would go to Romney contrary to every other indicator. I’d love to believe that he’s right, but I don’t see it.
Yeah, no way. What will happen is more safe republicans will get primaried from the right and the party will become crazier and less able to win the senate or presidency.
Ordinarily I would say I can’t see why they’ve chosen this hill to die on — whilst not providing healthcare to all is plain weird to a foreigner, it’s also kinda dull — yet many ordinary decent Americans are fizzing and popping like so many bottles of soda left out in the noonday sun, from the comments pages on news outlets; so it is instructive to read this sober analysis of Obamacare from a respected black conservative, Ellis Washington, to see where these average opposers are coming from:
Washington says universal health care inevitably leads to genocide and mass killings, just as former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin warned during her failed vice presidential bid in 2008.
*“Like Hitlercare, Obamacare will inevitably lead to health-care rationing, death panels, millions of uninsured and, eventually, the systematic genocide of the weak, minorities, enfeebled, the elderly and political enemies of the God-state,” *
…
*Washington argues that extending health insurance coverage through a government undermines God’s authority.
*
“It substitutes natural law for the God-state of government to decide and dictate the right to of who lives and who dies for entire classes of society, as opposed to letting people make their own choices using the free market and private enterprise to secure their own health care,” Washington writes.
…
*He says Hitler imposed Germany’s health care system on occupied countries so he could enact genocidal social policies.
*
He claims the president is using his “Gestapo” and “SS Stormtroppers” (sic), which he describes as young people, unions, Planned Parenthood, the NAACP, ACORN and La Raza, to propagandize the poor and minorities into supporting Obamacare.
“But like in Hitler’s Germany once the reality of their treachery metastasizes, guess who will be the first ones forced to sacrifice their lives for the Fatherland in our march toward a ‘perfect’ society without illness or suffering?” Washington says. “History has repeatedly demonstrated that the weakest and most vulnerable have often been the first victims to be eliminated.”
Washington doesn’t explain why Obama would target for mass murder the same demographic groups who helped elect him to the presidency and consistently support the Democratic Party.

Whilst the profane may be sceptical of some of these claims, the nature of democracy is that large masses of people believe strange things, as they are entitled to, and choose the representatives who most perfectly implement those beliefs.
If the main party deserts the bed-rock of the principles beloved by the mass then they will be left behind just like the Girondins as progressed the Great Revolution. After all, we now live in a neo-bolshevist world. As most people are as equally true believers and intolerant as any soviet group, some of the old guard should tremble: the politicians have dutifully moved nearer to the madness they continuously fuel to placate their gods, but like everybody, they are dispensable.
Still, a third party won’t come that soon: instead the Republican party will more probably spiral into the abyss faster and faster.
Mr. Washington has his own entry in the Encyclopedia of American Loons.
Erickson lacks the substance of either.
Is Erickson a Doper?
Whose name rhymes with, say, “Sad ta her?”
Not on their level, I don’t think, but he does run redstate.com.
Not any more! I just sold him some pills!
Quit it.
I keep forgetting – are we at war with Oceania or Eastasia?
Wait… If Obama wanted health-care rationing, death panels, and millions of uninsured, then why did he push through the ACA?
The Confederacy.
And France.
And of course we’ve always been at war with them, which makes your confusion inexplicable.
Well, yeah, it might, and I hope it does. I sincerely hope the Republican Party fractures over this and I get my Moderate Republicans back to vote for.
Could he have a temporary pass to explain it? 'Cause I don’t get it, and it will bug me.
Well, you can vote for them – but, if the GOP and the TP go their separate ways, neither will ever win, outside a few solid-red counties; everywhere else they’ll split the opposition to the Dems.
