For those of you who have never played the Kevin Bacon game, the idea is to link actors to Kevin Bacon through move appearances. For example, Wilt Chamberlain gets a “3” because:
Wilt Chamberlain was in Conan the Destroyer (1984) with Tracey Walter who was in Fist of the North Star (1995/I) with Clint Howard who was in My Dog Skip (2000) with Kevin Bacon
Three films=Bacon number of 3.
Well, as you can see from this chart, there is only one person in history who has a Bacon number of 10, and I just found him!
Just thought I’d brag a little. If anyone wants to play the Kevin Bacon Game, just go here: http://www.oracleofbacon.org
Warning: it’s very addictive, and finding people with Bacon numbers above 3 is damn near impossible.
Highest I ever found was a 6 or 7, it was an actor from a production of Romeo and Juliet from the early 1900s - but I tried finding it again and all the actors have Bacon Numbers of 3 now, I think due in part to ‘My Dog Skip’.
I also played the game linking ANY two actors, trying to find those with high link numbers, but their database is so vast and there have been SO many films that high numbers are hard to find. I tried wierd combinations, like Emil Jannings and Charlize Theron, but wven they had a number of three(try it!)
I have to admit (as I have before) to being impressed with the game and the database. Even when I try obscure weirdo silent film actors like Snitz Edwards or “Bull” Montana or Charles Ogle (the first “Frankenstein”) I still end up with a Bacon Number of 3. I’ve turned up people with Bacon numbers of infinity (if you appear in only one really obscure film peopled with equally obscure actors, you never connect), but finding high non-infinite Bacon numbers is incredibly hard.
So who is #10? Heck, who are the ones higher than 7?
I generally avoid “me too” posts, but I love the OP link so much that I can’t help myself. Thanks, Opus1. My best is a meager 3 after several early tries. This will be in my bookmarks list for some time. I’d nominate it for Weird Earl’s, if I did that sort of thing.
See those threes? silnet film stars!
I do have some satisfaction that I was able to link to him through “The Thing with Two Heads” which almost makes this worth while. Now excuse me while I pound the hell out of my keyboard

ok ok, I know this is a cheap way to do it and doesn’t really count, plus I didn’t think it would work but it did and I don’t care.
Jeez, I thought I had it easy, but even obscure Dutch actors are in the database. Even the guy who does Sesame Street here in Holland! This is crap
