A Pilot Is Grounded. A Lawyer Is Disbarred. A Doctor Is:

What (if anything) is the term for a doctor whose authority to practice medicine has been revoked?

In the UK at least, a doctor is “struck off” (the medical register).

A doctor has his license suspended or revoked. (Licensing Board discipline)

A doctor has his hospital privileges restricted or suspended (hospital administrative discipline)

A doctor is fired. (employer discipline)

A doctor gets his car keyed. (Patient discipline)

undoctrinated.

or revoked.

A doctor has his license suspended. Or he loses his license. My cousin, a pain specialist, had his license suspended (and later restored) because he was sampling some of the pain killers.

A stripper is dis-bra’d.

… and male porn stars are dismembered. (Hey, he started it ^)

Doesn’t that happen every night?

A Fireman is hosed.

An umpire is debased.

A trapeze artist is suspended.

Or de-tassled.

If a doctor gets out of hand they will say DHP. Doctor, Halt Practice.

A politician is devoted.
A farmer is deranged.
A software developer is folded, spindled, and mutilated.
A soldier is debased.
A schoolteacher is degraded.
An electrician is delighted.

A store clerk gets cashiered.

A failed nudist is disrobed.

A doctor is demedicated? ex-medicated? ex-stethoscoped?

A surgeon is de-scrubbed?

He’s cut off.

And a dentist gets his credentials pulled.

No, a politician is re-elected.
